Great form factor (5.0 out of 5 stars)

My old 1875 watt hairdryer died and I needed a replacement. I would love to get one of the super fancy hairdryers on the market, but that was out of the budget. So after reading reviews and deciding how much I wanted to spend, I ordered this dryer. The design of the product is what sold me on it. For years I’ve used standard blow dryers that can be hard to wrangle when trying to dry the back of your head, especially if you use any attachments. This dryer is great! It’s lighter than my old dryer, and the form factor makes it easier to dry the back of my hair without overextending my arm. Even though this dryer is lower wattage than my old dryer, I think it puts out more heat, even on the the low heat setting. For reference I have chin-length curly 2B-3A hair that is fine and thinning. I exclusively use this dryer with the diffuser attachment on low heat. The diffuser snaps on and stays on pretty well. Because my hair is fairly short, I don’t have any issues with my hair getting sucked into the air intake at the end of the unit. The diffuser dish is small and shallow, but it works just fine for my hair. I don’t know if I believe the ion or plasma claims of the makers of this dryer, but I do feel that it takes less time to dry my hair than it did with my old dryer. I still get some frizz when using this dryer, but that’s probably due to the way I use it. I also love how little space this dryer takes up compared to my old one. I can’t wait to travel with it. I’m sure TSA will have to open my bag to see what it is since it looks like it could be something of a more personal nature, but that’s fine. If you’re on the fence about this one, just get it. Your arms will thank you!

VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!! (5.0 out of 5 stars)

I am so glad that I took a chance and ordered this – I’ve always had “gun” shaped blow dryers, where the nozzle is at least as long as the handle, often making it difficult on my arms/shoulders to position, especially when using a round styling brush also – problem solved with THIS dryer!! The short nozzle and the big round handle make it much easier to hold it closer to my head and against my brush while styling!! (If you’ve ever experienced straining your arms/neck/shoulders while trying to dry the back of your head while holding a round brush with a long-nozzled dryer, you might appreciate this dryer too!!) The 2 attachments on this dryer fit very snugly into place, and they DON’T come loose and fall off while holding against my styling brush either – (this was a problem with my last blow dryer). Additionally, the positioning of the air intake at the bottom of the handle, instead of at the back of the nozzle is brilliant – it has remained free of any lint or product buildup even with daily use for the last couple weeks, unlike my previous one – the mesh screen inside the intake vents is much finer/tighter too which I’m sure helps greatly. The sound “pitch” might be slightly higher that my last dryer, but it’s not any louder – and this one dries my hair just as fast as the higher-wattage one I had too. And finally, I love that it takes up less space – but unlike many reviews that say they bought this for travel, this dryer is my daily at-home dryer now!! No reason to have any other one – this is just an all-around GREAT hair dryer!!
